The thermoplastic PU material of which PU timing belts are produced can be welded with heat to create an endless belt. After a finger joint has been punched into the T10 PU timing belt a finger joint form 80 mm up to 120 mm long, depending on the tooth profile, the endless welded timing belt can reach a tensile strength of 60% of a PU timing belt without a weld.
